portable fish finder may be one missing component that could make a better day when going fishing; an avid angler would be rewarded for having a portable fish finder on a fishing trip.
Any avid angler has multiple fishing rods and bait. What more does an angler need to catch fish? Bobbers, tackle box, and other tools inside the tackle box for fishing is what most people would be quick to answer. One thing that could be added for an angler is a portable fish finder to locate fish. Normally an angler needs to guess where fish may be located and where they might bite. When fishing on lakes and bays, the portable fish finder locates fish like a global positioning system locates places. For those who fish at lake cabins on a boat or a dock, a portable fish finder is a must-have tool.

Satellite navigation system is accurate and reliable as it depends on signals from a network of satellites or spacecraft, unlike earlier methods of data collection through earth bound sources. One of the important applications of satnav is for fishing and for other marine activities. Earlier a system based on sound navigation and ranging or SONAR was used to study underwater conditions like depth and availability of fish in a locality. Later a device known as chart plotter was in use which can be defined as a combination of global positioning system and digital technology. But the latest device, satnav fish finder is comparatively a simple one which is much more user friendly than the earlier devices. The user can receive more accurate data through satellites that encircle the earth.

“I wasn't quite expecting this” was the remark from our angler as we fitted him to the harness and urged him to be patient as the bluefin steadily took line off the reel, with no sign of stopping.
We had pushed hard to be among the first boats to set lines off the Virginia coast on this overcast July morning. We had set the center line, locally known as the way-way back or simply WWB. The rig consists of a bird, daisy chain of artificial squid and green machine. Within seconds of placing the rod in the rod holder, and before we could set the second line, we were hooked up to a nice bluefin tuna.
